About Me

Dr Kasia Murach

Clinical Psychologist, DCPsych, CPsychol, HCPC registered

I have over 15 years of work experience in Mental Health Services, both in the NHS and private sector in the UK.

Having just returned from my adventure of working as a Clinical Psychologist in Bermuda, I am planning my next steps. I have moved countries three times and recognize the importance of having someone to support and coach you through transitions in life. I am of dual heritage, and appreciate the value of integration of dichotomous experiences, systems and approaches.

Prior to changing the trajectory of my work life, I worked in private practice and in a variety of settings in the NHS. I worked within Adult Mental Health Services providing assessment, therapy, neuropsychological assessment, consultation and supervision to Trainee Clinical Psychologists in the region. I worked in Older Adult Mental Health Services in a variety of settings including the Memory Service, intermediate care unit, Primary Care and Secondary Care Services.

As a Clinical Psychologist, I value compassionate and caring, yet focused, approach to your problems, so that I can help you alleviate your suffering and achieve the desired change as quickly as possible. I am guided by what is important to you to work on when we meet. Your longings, values and strengths are what I aim to help you acknowledge and develop. My practice is confidential, discrete and safe.

In the past, I specialized in Intensive Short-term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), for which I completed IEDTA certified 3-year Core Training in the UK. ISTDP is an integrative model, which draws on the findings and techniques of other approaches. What is very unique about it is its focus on the transforming power of your feelings and longings and the mindful awareness of blocks to your ability to fully experience and express what you long for and feel moment-by-moment.

Over the years, I have gained a wealth of experience in various Psychological approaches, i.e. ISTDP, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. The more I learn, the more my practice is person-centered, devoid of any jargon and integrative.

Currently, I offer integrative psychological therapy and life transitions coaching, sleep coaching, menopause coaching and decluttering coaching.
